e-NAM

To a query on the integration of mandis (agricultural markets) into the e-NAM (Digital Nationwide Agriculture Industry) system, Tomar said 1,000 mandis in 401 districts throughout 18 States and three UTs have been built-in with the e-NAM system as on December 31. He mentioned the 415 new mandis have been integrated into the e-NAM platform considering the fact that March 31, 2018.

Natural farming

On normal farming, the minister explained an space of 4.09 lakh hectares has been included beneath natural farming until now. In this regard, ₹49.80 crore has been released to eight States

The government is advertising purely natural farming through Bhartiya Prakritik Krishi Padhati (BPKP) launched for the duration of 2020-21 as a sub-scheme of Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) for the marketing of regular indigenous methods, such as organic farming. The plan predominantly emphasises on exclusion of all synthetic chemical inputs and promotes on-farm biomass recycling with key tension on biomass mulching, and use of cow dung-urine formulations and other plant-based mostly preparations.
