Onion prices rise up after Centre open doors for export

The onion prices in Lasalgaon, Asia’s largest onion market place went up by about ₹400 for every quintal with a modal charge of the bulb crop touching ₹2,two hundred for every quintal compared to ₹1,two hundred – ₹1,800 in the past several months. However, the prices would not go up considerably as the stream of onion in the market place is increasing.
