Ryanair launches first buy one get one free sale

Ryanair has launched its initial “purchase one, get one cost-free” sale in a bid to strengthen flagging passenger numbers.

Consumers who e-book a flight ahead of midnight on Thursday for journey up to December fourteen on one,600 routes will get a second ticket at no further value.

The move follows the airline’s determination to further decrease operations due to coronavirus journey restrictions.

Its capacity in October will be 40pc of 2019 stages, as opposed with the 50pc it beforehand introduced.

Ryanair chief govt Michael O’Leary explained need for long term bookings was awful.

“Into November and December our forward bookings are jogging at all around 10pc – that’s about a quarter of exactly where they would commonly be at this time of the yr,” he told Sky Information.

“We are unable to rule out work losses but in Ryanair we’re undoubtedly desperately operating with our people to avoid them.”
